Our client is a leading provider of commercial cleaning and hygiene solutions with more than 170 sales offices and 11,000 employees worldwide. Job description Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Director for Africa and the Middle East, you will lead a finance department of 18 people, including 5 direct reports. Taking a business partner approach, you will be closely involved in defining and shaping the company's overall strategic objectives and financial policy framework. Your role will be to manage all aspects of the Egyptian subsidiary's financial accounting, reporting and statutory compliance, revenue collection and disbursement, internal control and strategy. Specific duties will include: - Recording and reconciliation of the organisation's financial transactions ledgers according to both Egyptian and US GAAP practices; - Closing the general ledger and reconciling all relevant income statements and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis according to both Egyptian and US practices;- Analysing and reporting on the management accounts and KPI's and providing monthly & quarterly results;- Providing variance & expense analysis, investigating and resolving related issues;- Supervising cash flow forecasting and management;- Coordinating statutory and US internal audits; preparing and submitting statutory accounts and tax filings;- Managing and recording the collection of monies due for goods and services delivered and coordinating recovery actions- Developing, implementing and maintaining internal control policies and procedures to ensure good corporate governance, in adherance to the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.- Assessing the financial viability of projects, tenders and proposed customers.

Qualifications : You have completed your CPA qualification or equivalent and have at least 8 years progressive experience in a finance function. With previous experience at an audit firm, ideally of international renown, you have also accumulated experience on the commercial side by taking on an accounting or finance role in a multinational environment. As an effective executive, demonstrating clear leadership strengths and honed analytical skills, you will bring professionalism, direction, and new vision to the local team.
